A lot of people have been asking how they can get their hands on an iPhone 4 and can you blame em? I've had mine since the day it came out and I couldn't be happier. If you're a blackberry lover then you might as well leave now, because you'd never understand good technology if it hit you in the face (your just holding yourself back, but it's ok). The iPhone is basically like having a little, but fully functional, laptop in your pocket - no joke. It does pretty much everything my laptop does, and it does it really well (meaning there is no loss of quality/the experience is great). Surfing blogs, using twitter/facebook, communicating via email, and pretty much everything else. Even on the computer I never go on Flash sites (I find them annoying) so that has never been an issue for me. I don't use Facetime all that much, but it's nice for keeping in touch with long distance relatives. Anyways, I've been really happy since I got my iPhone 3G and I'm even happier now mainly because it's faster and more responsive... the display is the probably the most beautiful thing I've ever seen... besides my girlfriend that is
Now, onto the good stuff... there's basically 4 ways to get an iPhone 4 that I know of right now (other than waiting in line).
1) Buy it off Craigslist for ~$700-$800. There's lots of em available, and if you want to avoid signing up for a data package and/or 3 year contract then this is your best and easiest bet... if you can afford it.
2) Tell your cell phone provider that you're thinking about switching phone companies because they have an iPhone 4 waiting for you. You'll be transferred to the retention dept and they will gladly renew your contract and send you an iPhone 4 on rush delivery (the Canadian cell phone market is highly competitive right now, so they'll do anything to not lose any customers).
3) Call an Apple store and book a "business consult." If you have a business, that's great but you can just pretend if you really want the phone. They have a specific quantity reserved for businesses, so they'll totally hook you up. No line ups no fuss.
4) Follow Gary on Twitter (http://twitter.com/iphoneincanada). He runs Canada's biggest iPhone site and is the best source to find out which stores currently have iPhone 4's in stock. However, once he tweets a location you better get their fast before they're all gone.
Good luck!!
